Happy New Year!

We are finally home from our Vegas vacation. Our flight home was delayed for three hours! We had plenty of magazines, books, and things to do on the computer to keep us occupied, though. It was a great trip, but we are glad to be home. Happy New Year everyone!

Mike and me at Hoover Dam. It was very cold and very windy.

At the airport during our three hour delay. :)

Merry Christmas! (A Little Early ...)

Our living room decked out for Christmas!

Since Mike and I will be on a plane to Vegas tomorrow, we decided to have Christmas one day early and open all of our presents this morning. It was wonderful!! Even our cat London had fun, chasing balls of discarded wrapping paper around the house. Mike got me a whole bunch of supplies for me to try two new creative endevors - needle felting and crocheting. I put them on my list of things to learn this year, because I really want to find a way to create things. I buy a lot of things on esty, and I have creative envy. I think that with time, I could learn how to do those things, too ... and now, I have everything I need to get started!! Mike even got me a class to start learning how to crochet as a surprise. He is the best!

London with his spoils. He's looking very grumpy about having his picture take. ;)

My spoils!
Bowls from Anthropologie, a Cakewich pan, two books on needle felting, some wool and needle felting needles, two new dresses (Old Navy and Modcloth). You can't see the other item, but is a bag full of yarn, crochet needles, and a class list with a gift card. Yay!

So Here Goes ...

This year, I decided to make some goals for myself. Not New Years resolutions, but rather actual goals of things I have been saying I want to do, over and over again, but never actually attempting. I was inspired by some posts on other blogs about making lists of the things you want to accomplish in between birthdays, like for me, would be "The 28 things I want to do before 29." Since I turned 28 this year. Which you probably got. I loved the idea of this, but, sadly (or maybe not sadly, depending on how you look at it) I couldn't even think of 28 things I want to do this year. However, I did come up with a list. And maintaining a blog is one item on that list. So here goes ... welcome!

This is me outside of a midnight Rocky Horror Picture Show screening.
God bless my sweet husband for being a sport with this one.
